Updatus Minimus

Professor Winkler, one of the authors of “America: Pathways to the Present,” said he and his co-authors had written “every word” of the first edition, aiming to teach American history from a sociological perspective, from the grass roots up. But, he said, in updated editions, the authors reviewed passages written by freelancers or in-house writers or editors

I watched three movies for the first time this weekend Philadelphia, Se7en, and Pirates of the Carribean (the first one). I loved the first, liked the second, and was bored by the third.

FYI, I will be changing jobs again... I have 2 weeks here, then a week of vacation, then I start my new job! And did I mention I finally got into a Latin class for the Fall? Yay!

I'll agree with you on the first two movies, though I think Pirates had it's moments (big fan of the monkey). :)

And yay for taking classes, even if all I remember about Latin is that we actually set an English dictionary on fire with the Latin teacher's permission in high school.

Are you moving to the same side of campus as me? Huh? Huh? Huh?

And PotC was crap. I was so bored I kept looking at my watching wishing it would be over already. I was terribly sad I paid to go see it. I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't like it.

Yaya for Latin, you nerd!

I was bored too. The movie was just... okay. Boring but okay. I guess I expected it to be something better than it was...

And yes, 1001 West Franklin (corner of Franklin and Harrison)!
