Clean and tired

I gave my puppies a bath tonight, they needed it. They was getting funky puppy smell!

Which of course necessitated a nice hot shower for me afterward.

Now I am off to read some more... I am thinking of going to watch something on the Game Show Network though...

Ewww, funky puppies!!!!

Do they like bathes? Tuggy likes to take a shower with me sometimes and he always likes to sit on the edge of tub when I"m soaking...he's a strange kitty. As you know, he's potty trained.

Re: Funkyness
Umm they don't mind them, but I think Nutmeg is a little afraid -- she may have had a bad experience when she was a a stray... she clawed the crap out of my boobs when I lifted her intot he tub!

eeewww, I always hated that funky puppy smell.

I liked new baby puppy smell. Like when you first bring them home.:) well until they rip up your first pair of good shoes *g*

I have a story to put into my LJ. We took indy to the vet today for xrays on his leg. He has a torn ligament in his knee. AT least we know now it's not his hip. *whew*

Seriously I hope he feels better soon, ouch a torn ligament...

By the way I am taking your advice about Nutmeg's little problem...

and yes still in agreement about the shoes... and all the other stuff they find to chew on!

Re: poor indy
Indy is miling the attention all he can. ;)

I can't believe how many kissies I got at the vet from strange dogs in the waiting room. =D It's a nice vet. So many women there paying attention to the dogs that they feel comfortable. And beautiful dogs! There was this HUGE bloodhound there who was just eating up the attention (not to mention faking it on the scale by leaning on the wall so he weighed 10 pounds less *g*)

Has Nutmeg stopped at all? Or improved? It's funny how the problem is not that uncommon.

Oh! And how they show you what they are chewing on!

Indy got my mom's heel to her shoes with the nail in it. He came up to show me, "Chrissie, I got this cool thing I'm chewin on! Look!" As the nails are digging into his mouth. That's when I started the "I'm not afraid to put my hands in the dog's mouth and grab stuff." *shudder*

No one understands except dog owners that a puppy is like having a baby. You have to baby/puppy proof the house and then some!

Re: poor indy
Well with Nutmeg this has been an off and on thing since we got her. She was a stray and hadn't had any vet attention during the first year of her life (when coincidentally, just like with babies, it is important that they get proper vet care in the early stages of life). Anyway, she has done this before once or twice but it is becoming like once a day now... so we are going to take her to the vet and have them do a fecal exam and run some tests to see if it is something we should worry about. My suspicion is that she'll need to go on some vitamin supplements until it is worked out and her digestion is normal again...

Yay for Indy getting attention!
