Quotes

"To sit back hoping that someday, someway, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last--but eat you he will." -- Ronald Reagan

“And whatever else history may say about me when I'm gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears, to your confidence rather than your doubts. My dream is that you will travel the road ahead with liberty's lamp guiding your steps and opportunity's arm steadying your way.” -- Ronald Reagan

Biography

Yahoo! Avatars
my pet!

I am married with two gorgeous girls (my puppies Nutmeg and Coffey). I am a Republican and a feminist (yes the two can co-exist inside one person). I am open-minded and I like that quality in other people. I am a hardcore literature geek with a B.A. in English and an inclination to do all manner of useless things. I have a soft spot for helping others, a penchant for good books and a love of all things artsy. And no, I have never actually stolen a gila, or anything else for that matter!

So why the name, gilathief, and what does it mean? You can find that out for yourself, right here!

Also, I try to be a good LJ citizen. All of my icons are either made by me or credited to the proper person. If you see an icon you made not credited, please let me know and I will be happy to correct the problem.
