Ten Simple Pleasures Meme

Finally, someone tagged me! Thanks aulizia!

Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then pick ten people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used.

1. Getting snowflakes on my eyelashes.
2. Sipping coffee on my deck swing in the morning.
3. Rubbing my puppies tummies and watching them fall asleep.
4. A hug from my husband.
5. That tickly feeling when you have a soda and it fizzes under your nose before taking the first sip.
6. Finding money in a coat pocket or somewhere similar, that I didn't realize I had.
7. A good belly laugh.
8. Eating fresh strawberries, with a little sugar, in a bowl of milk.
9. Shower+new sheets=pure bliss!
10. The satisfaction of a newly cleaned house or landscaped yard.

Wonders who hasn't done this yet...hmmmm?

I will tag:
Expectant Pup

You know, rolypolypony was just talking about this the other day... some IDIOT left their child unsupervised, and now a dog will pay the ultimate price. Makes me livid!

Below is an email I received about the situation. I don't have all the details, so I don't know how bad the injuries were, but sounds like this was negligent ownership, not a dog being bad, just being a dog... I am hoping to get details soon.

I would like to begin circulating a petition to save Rex’s life. He has been taken to the Hanover Animal Control, Hanover County, Virginia. Friday, March 10, 2006 he bit a little girl while he was tethered, a violation of my contract. The child was unsupervised during a party that was held by the people that I adopted Rex to and the circumstances are suspect at best as to what the to caused Rex to Bite. No information was provided after repeated inquiries on my part. When under our care, he was repeatedly exposed to children and other dogs, both of whom he loved. He never exhibited any signs of aggression. The adopters violated the tethering clause, and did not follow through on heartworm preventative after my husband I spent 3 months nursing him through the painful procedure of heartworm treatment. This was clearly stated in their contract.

Although I feel very badly for the injured child, I do not think that Rex is the one to pay the price with his life. He was a loving, wonderful dog and these people were irresponsible and negligent while throwing a party.

He will be euthanized per Sgt. Kilgore of Hanover County Animal Control. I have this case now with an attorney

When your page has reached 100 please send back to me at [email address].

Rex thanks you and I thank you.
