Don't Mess with Kitty

Politcal Politico...

How Gay Is Superman?

This article brings up some really great points about the double life led by many homosexual people.

"An essential characteristic of the superhero mythology is, there's the superhero, and there's the alter ego," Bill says. "Batman is actually Bruce Wayne. Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When he wakes up in the morning, he's Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic that Superman stands alone. Superman did not become Superman — Superman was born Superman."

Russian politics is not exactly a model of democracy, of course, but maybe, for those trying to interest young American voters, a political reality show might not be such a bad idea. Let's face it, looking at the demographics, it could hardly hurt.

Too bad we don't do that here, American Idol contestants get more votes than most political candidates... *rolls eyes*

(True conversation between myself and my husband about two months ago)

Me: (sees a sign that says "VOTE FOR ELLIOT") Honey is there a special election going on?
Him: (driving) I haven't heard about one, why?
Me:There's a sign over there that says Vote for Elliot...
Him: Oh! That's the American Idol guy!
Me: Oh, okay...
Him: You know you should really watch more TV!
