  1. cheesecake:
Delicious dessert, best plain but also very good with chocolate or fruit topping. My favorite cheesecake is pumpkin cheesecake.

Very plush little pals available at Barnes and Noble. My favorite is my DC penguin, but don't tell Gustav!
  3. flannery o'connor:
One of the best southeern gothic writers ever. I love the mood of her stories.
  4. impressionists:
The impressionists were trying to create more thna lovely pictures (which they did - in droves), they were trying to see the world as it really is. Caillebotte, Monet, Signac, and Utrillo are among my favorite impressionists.
  5. marilyn vos savant's column:
Check it out in the weekly Parade insert in your Sunday paper. She is a genius (literally) and her columns are generally fun and thought provoking.

  7. roller coasters:
    Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I love 'em.

  9. the royal tenenbaums:
I ♥ Owen Wilson and Wes Anderson! This was a brilliantly written and acted movie. I wish it had gotten the Oscar for best original screenplay.
  10. zeppelins:
I have a fascination with derrigibles of all kinds, especially zeppelins.

i think i read vos savant's article on whether men or women were more intelligent. she seems interesting.

have you read _wise blood_ by flannery o'connor? it's even crazier than her short stories.

You know I started Wise Blood a few years ago but never finished it, I don't even remember why now, perhaps I will pick it up again soon!
