Happy All Saints Day!

I'll have to fix it when I get home tonight, but the new layout is up! Thanks to everyone who voted! I may do a Christmas vote as well.

Today starts NaNo. So I have to find some time this evening to write.

Much to comment on re: Scalito, and some semi-personal stuff going on. All to come later today, and maybe some new icons at monstericons today or tomorrow. Thanks for all the resposnes about my Snoopy icons!

I like the new layout. The newspaper print is neat.

Thanks I wanted something softer, but this works fine for now.

Well, at least we know *exactly* where we stand with Scalito. BTW, what side of the political spectrum do you fall on? I don't think I have any idea.

Really? Wow. I am VERY open about my politics (read: too open generally)

I consider myself a moderate Republican and a feminist.

I am:
Pro Death Penalty
Pro choice
Anti Gun Control
Pro Gay Marriage
Anti Term Limits for Elected Offices
Pro Big Business (nearly laissez faire capitalist)
Anti most governmental interference

Having said all that... most of my closest friends disagree with my politics completely (read: are far more liberal) and I totally respect their views. I also have a number of friends, both in real life and on LJ, who I would consider religous zealots, but I can maintain friendships with them becuase I respect their rights to their own opinions as much as I respect those of my very liberal friends who are always a bit flabbergasted that I *tend* (read not always) to vote Republican, I am an agnostic but I support prayer in schools, and the pledge of allegience. I guess I am a series of contradictions...?

Pro Death Penalty- yes in theory, the practice is somewhat worrisome
Pro choice- yup
Anti Gun Control- yup
Pro Gay Marriage- yup
Anti Term Limits for Elected Offices- depends on the circumstances. Not president, that's for sure.
Pro Big Business (nearly laissez faire capitalist)- I'm also mixed on this one, because I think Big Business is often synonomous with Screw Workers, which isn't the best for communities. As far as susidies, I'm firmly against them in any realm, if that's related.
Anti most governmental interference- yup.
I am an agnostic- functionally so but I consider myself a Quaker
I support prayer in schools- sure, only if it's voluntary Not Mandatory
The pledge of allegience- definitely. And I'm all for making everyone stand up and say it, not for religious connotations but because it has to *mean* something to be a citizen of this country. And if you don't think of it every day you can forget and become lazy, take what we have for granted.

And here I label myself a moderate Democrat. Goes to show labels aren't very useful.

Well, I think it just shows we all have more in common than we have to differ over, that's for sure!
