Much better now...

Okay exams are officially done, my last one took me somewhere between 8 and 11 minutes!

*sings* "Go Speed racer..."

Anywho, I think I have succeeded in getting two "A"'s and if I haven't, then oh well... life will go on.

As for you, my LJ friends, I have a few packages to go out next week to folks -- nothing huge or fancy, just some small things. Unfortunately, I couldn't afford to buy and ship gifts to everyone on ye olde friendslist, sooo... the rest of you (including people getting real presents from me) are hereby invited to request a graphic LJ present. I will work hard to get as many as possible doen before the holidays.

You can request anything, an icon, a friends-only banner, a journal header, just be as specific as you can about what you want and I will spend my free time this week and next working on them.

Lastly, I wanted to share this kut litl gem that whispering_ibis posted on her journal not long ago... I hope she is feeling better. (*hugs* E)

The English Language's Future

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5-year phase-in plan that will become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion,, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replased with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that th horibl mes of the silent "e" in
the language is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensibl riten styl.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and everivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas. If zis mad yu smil, pleas pas on to oza pepl.

You are The Lovers

Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.

The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.

Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.
