Political Language

"'You can do better' is what you say to a dim child whose grades were even worse than expected. Is this really the Democrats' message to the nation: that we don't need to be quite as pathetic as we now are?"

This isn't turning into a political blog, I swear.

Have a good weekend everyone.

I hope to do some iconing this weekend but it is also the last weekend before my Administrative Law final, so I am not sure how much time I will have.

Or something you say to someone you truly care about and know that they are not giving their 100% when they are quite capable and would be better for doing so.

As a linguist he should be aware of semantics.

Interesting perspective he has. Some of which I agree with (there needs to be more serious focus within the party) and some of which I find ironic, considering the president. Democrats are far from the only party having serious issues with linguistics or with being literate.
