I love Upton Sinclair

As posted in the english_majors:

I can't believe I missed the Slate article on The Jungle as it is one of my favorite novels. While Sinclair's prose style could hardly be labored beautiful, I thought it was downright readable. Anyway, this year marks the 100th Anniversary and, as they point out in the article, a sharp new paperback edition has been published. I will have to add it to my list of things to pick up next time I am in the bookstore.
